Why was Frankie so special ?

In December 2005 my dog passed away.  The house seemed empty.

About a month later, one cold day in January 2006 a little white cat marched boldly through the door ........ and decided to stay.

It was as if Frankie knew there was a "vacancy" that needed filling.

He was pure white with startling blue eyes, and I quickly discovered that like many white blue eyed cats, he was deaf.

He also had a scar on his chin which the vet later confirmed was where a broken jaw had been operated on at some point. He had only one canine tooth, and he had bronchitus, probably as a result of having had feline influenza at some time in his past.

He was also very shy to begin with, and spent most of his time hiding in the dining room, but after a while he became more confident and very soon he was like my shadow, following me everywhere around the house.

In memory of Frankie.

The little cat with a big heart.
