As he got older Frankie decided to "retire" and dedicated himself to finding comfortable places to snooze whilst always near me.
The desk in my office, my knee when I watched TV, and the chair nearest the fire, became his favourite spots. He also discovered the delights of ice cream and would sit on my knee watching carefully if I ate ice cream until I gave him some.

On 13th August 2012 he followed his normal routine, enjoying being stroked and fussed, in between snoozing peacefully. At about 6pm he suddenly had a stroke, the vet was called, and at 6.50pm he quietly slipped away, leaving a hole in my life that can never be filled.

I believe that animals must go to heaven, because quite simply, without my little man it could never be heaven to me.
